What You Get:

  • Energy-efficient water heater with a warranty
  • Available in various gallon sizes
  • $500 total cost — includes:
    • Water heater
    • Load management receiver

Member’s Responsibility:

  • Installation of the water heater.

BCREA Provides:

  • load control device & wiring

Program Agreement:

  • Must keep the water heater on the system & under control for at least 10 years
  • “Under control” means:
    • A radio receiver can temporarily interrupt power for up to 8 hours on high-demand days
    • You will still have enough stored hot water during control periods

Available For:

  • Replacement of aging/non-functional heaters
  • New construction installations
